Heal the land, heal the people.
The tonip ka-ak Alliance focuses on restoring the ecosystem through eco-cultural relationships within co-stewardship and strong tribal partnerships, alongside collaboration with land managers and landowners. By centering community and prioritizing youth, we strengthen long-term ecosystem function, cultivate fire-adapted communities, and support resilient biodiversity.
Our vision
We envision a future where Indigenous landscapes are cared for through place based eco-cultural practices led by tribes and supported through meaningful partnerships. In this future, fire is restored as a tool of balance, and communities—especially youth—are empowered as the next generation of land stewards. Through tribal partnership and co-stewardship, land managers, landowners, and Indigenous communities work together to sustain resilient, biodiverse ecosystems for generations to come.
